🎯 Physical business networking.
This is what I’ve been missing for the last two years. I had to limit myself to digital networking, but it didn’t do the trick for me.
I had a busy Q4 2021 and worked during the Christmas holidays till mid-January on academic finance translations. This is what usually happens when you specialise in academic translation. All the projects have to be ready before the start of the following term.
✅ I managed by the end of January to visit DubaiExpo2020 and Dubai International Financial Centre. I had interesting meetings with connections and learned about the latest trends in digital finance. I also gained important insights into language use in arbitration in finance and banking.
✅ That is a good input that I’m going to include in the Institute of Translation and Interpreting ITI LIFT webinar “Finance Translation, Specialise and Succeed” given by myself and organised by Agata McCrindle for members only on 25 March 2022. If you would like to become a member and attend the online free webinar, here is the link https://lnkd.in/exe2Faie
✅ I’m also looking forwards to my volunteer work with Amnesty International Netherlands as a guest teacher to promote human rights in schools in my province Groningen.
🌈 So, with the overall confidence in vaccination, I’m working hard to schedule physical networking – alongside digital social networking – for 2022 as it’s a key success factor of any business.
